Russell “Rusty” Grant

TERRE HAUTE — Russell “Rusty” Grant, 58, of Terre Haute, passed away at 3:13 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Union Hospital. He was born Nov. 18, 1951, to Donald Grant and Phyllis Coffel, in Vigo County.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Glenda Grant; a daughter, Ashlee Grant of Indianapolis; two sons, Jamie Poe of Terre Haute, and Christopher Poe of Long Beach, Calif.; one sister, Donna and Don Sumansky; one granddaughter, Heidi Poe; an uncle, Jack Coffel; and a niece, Dawn Gilmore. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a graduate of Garfield High School, and was employed at Poly One. He was former member of Murdock Racing Club and Wabash Valley Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed playing music, playing and listening to the Blues, and was a member of several local bands over the years. He also was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan, and loved to play golf.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 N. Lafayette Ave. Cremation will follow. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
