Kathy Dawn McMurray - Pruitt, 56, of rural Vigo County, died at 2:31 p.m Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital ER. She was born in Brazil, on Sept. 13, 1953, the daughter of Fred J. McMurray and Marjorie (Eveland) McMurray, and they have preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Carpenter. She was a graduate of Garfield High School Class of 1971 and had been employed in the custodial department of CSN. She is survived by daughters, Angela Gulley and husband Chuck, and Cynthia Young and her companion Kenneth Rennier; two sons, Shawn McMurray and his wife Melissa and Michael “Petey” Gregory; two brothers, Fred McMurray and Gary McMurray; four grandchildren, Cody McMurray, Torrie Gregory, Mackenzie Gregory and Peyton Gulley; and also one on the way. Funeral services were at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with the Rev. David Deal officiating. Burial in New Harmony Cemetery.
