Billie J. Pridemore

Billie J. Pridemore, 56, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at Union Hospital. He was born Nov. 4, 1951, in Terre Haute, to Melvin Pridemore and Rachael Tarrant Collier. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 104, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also was a member of the Wabash Valley Mustang Club, and his hobbies included hunting and fishing. Survivors include two sons, Christopher Pridemore of Terre Haute, and Troy Pridemore of Robinsville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Jacob and Troy James Pridemore; two brothers, Melvin Pridemore of Terre Haute, and Raymond Pridemore of Farmersburg; a sister, Beverly Pridemore of Wyoming; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Thomas Funeral Home, 2200 N. 13th St., with the Rev. Larry Spear officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery, with American Legion Post 104 performing graveside military services. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
